Texas THON Leadership

At Texas THON, our leadership team is the driving force behind our mission to support Dell Children's Medical Center!

Comprised of Management (Executive Director and Directors), Assistant Directors, and Chairs, our leadership team is organized into divisions that oversee various aspects of Texas THON, including Finance, Communications, Logistics, and Recruitment.

With a team of committed individuals, each member bringing diverse talents and backgrounds, we collaborate to coordinate events, drive fundraising initiatives, and nurture a community dedicated to creating a positive impact on the world!

The Finance Division stands as the driving force behind Texas THON's financial success, taking a multifaceted approach to ensure sustainable growth. Comprising of dynamic committees specializing in fundraising, partnerships, and financial management, the division plays a pivotal role in orchestrating a variety of initiatives that contribute to Texas THON’s overall fundraising for Dell Children’s Medical Center!

  • Member Fundraising energizes the community by creating engaging resources for Miracle Makers, guiding them in year-long fundraising. They also manage canning initiatives, assist teams with fundraisers, and spearhead impactful push days, ensuring financial success for the entire org

  • Event Fundraising takes the lead in planning and executing Texas THON's signature events, from our profit shares, to Pancake Night, to Fire in the Hole. They manage our partners, volunteers, and other logistics of our events to ensure their success!

  • Finance + Data Tracking manages our budgets, track expenses, and manages our donations within Donor Drive. Finance + Data Tracking also compiles and analyzes our year-long progress towards our goals and makes data-driven decisions for the entire organization!

  • Partnership plays a pivotal role in acquiring essential resources from catering, product, and service donations from local and national companies to elevate our events and incentives. Partnership also pitches THON opportunities to corporate partners, and secures donations for our large events!

Communications

The Communications Division is the bridge that connects Texas THON with the wider community, focusing on building meaningful relationships and expanding our impact. Outreach engages with different social medias, families, Miracle Makers, and supporters, creating a network that extends the reach and influence of Texas THON beyond campus. Through innovative programs, strategic planning, and heartfelt connections, Communications is at the forefront of building a stronger and more inclusive community committed to making miracles!

  • Miracle Maker Relations (MMR) serves as the primary point of contact for Miracle Makers, excelling in outreach through monthly updates, newsletters, and Miracle Maker Meetings. From overseeing Miracle Maker Registration to building lasting relationships with Team Captains, the committee plays a crucial role in communication and education for all Miracle Makers.

  • Publicity manages all of Texas THON’s social medias, from Instagram to Facebook, creating graphics and campaigns to engage with our community on all platforms. Publicity also designs and manages all merchandise, from our shirts, to sweaters, to tote bags!

  • Production captures the essence of Texas THON through photography and video production. From documenting Texas THON events to creating theme reveal and recruitment videos, Production plays a vital role in showcasing Texas THON’s journey!

  • Family and Hospital Relations plays a vital role in fostering connections between Texas THON and our Miracle Families from Dell Children’s Medical Center. F&H coordinates events, communicates with, and serves as the primary point of contact for Miracle Families. From heartwarming holiday parties to supporting families at events like the Dance Marathon, the committee ensures a warm and supportive environment while actively recruiting new Miracle Families to the Texas THON family!

  • Stewardship cultivates a legacy of gratitude within the Texas THON community. Central to the spirit of Texas THON lies its people! The Recruitment Division, with its diverse committees, serves as the pulse of growth and engagement within the organization. From enthusiastic freshmen, to passionate student org leaders, Recruitment fosters meaningful connections all across campus. Together, these committees form the driving force behind the ongoing expansion and strengthened bonds that define the essence of Texas THON!

  • Member Development plays a pivotal role in nurturing the Texas THON community on all levels, including our Freshmen ENACT Class. From orchestrating the recruitment process to leading ENACT meetings, MD ensures the seamless integration of new members into Texas THON by creating a supportive and engaged environment.

  • Student and Spirit Org Recruitment recruits Miracle Makers affiliated with Student and Spirit Organizations such as UT sports clubs, Sweethearts, Lassos, Blazers, Infinites, and more. Members adeptly maintain open channels of communication between Texas THON leadership and student and spirit organization teams, attending meetings, spreading our mission and recruit new teams and Miracle Makers.

  • Greek Recruitment enhances Texas THON participation in Greek chapters, including the IFC, Panhellenic, and multicultural Greek chapters. By building and maintaining enduring relationships with Greek chapters, the committee ensures the lasting impact of Texas THON within the Greek community.

  • High School Relations connects Texas THON with several local high schools. HSR establishes relationships with high schools, encouraging them to initiate their own Dance Marathon programs. From creating mentorship programs to organizing impactful events, this committee strives to build connections with high school students all over Austin!
